Overview

As the Manager, Global Benefits and Payroll, you will lead the strategy, operations, and delivery of our global benefits and payroll programs across five countries. You will drive a best-in-class employee experience by designing and administering competitive, compliant benefits offerings and ensuring accurate , timely payroll. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, requiring deep expertise in global compliance, vendor management, systems, and process improvement. You’ll also serve as a key partner to Finance, Legal, and People teams, helping shape programs that support employee well-being, operational excellence, and business growth.

Responsibilities

Global Benefits (45%)

  • Lead a comprehensive global benefits strategy that supports employee well-being, engagement, and retention.
  • Oversee health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs across five countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage vendors and brokers to ensure performance, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
  • Lead benefits renewals and open enrollment, including negotiations and communications.
  • Design and implement global wellness initiatives to support physical, emotional, and financial health.
  • Manage the global benefits budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising program quality.
  • Oversee global leave programs and ensure compliance with country-specific laws.
  • Manage global immigration processes, partnering with attorneys to support employee visa needs.

Global Payroll (45%)

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing across five countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Manage payroll operations including GL reconciliations, tax reporting, and quarter/year-end close.
  • Conduct audits to ensure alignment with labor laws, tax codes, and internal controls.
  • Serve as the payroll expert, with deep knowledge of systems, GL mapping, earnings/deductions setup, and error resolution.
  • Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers.
  • Act as a point of contact for payroll issues, providing timely, customer-focused support.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Legal on audits, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure SOX compliance for all payroll processes.

People & Process (10%)

  • Lead and develop a high-performing payroll and benefits team.
  • Maintain clear documentation of processes and policies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience leading global payroll and benefits programs, ideally within SaaS or technology environments.
  • Deep knowledge of international benefits practices and compliance across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Extensive experience processing complex global payrolls, including U.S. multi-state and EMEA-specific requirements.
  • Proficient in HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration platforms; able to troubleshoot and optimize systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and create actionable insights.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex topics to varied audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; adept at making data-driven decisions.
  • Proven success managing global vendor, broker, and third-party administrator relationships.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build trust and work effectively across cultures and regions.
  • Willingness to work standard East Coast business hours (8am–5pm ET) with flexibility to support global teams
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with CloudPay and ADP Workforce Now (WFN) for global payroll processing.
  • Professional certifications such as CEBS, CBP, or CPP are strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
  • Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
