POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Global Ambassador Program (GAP) oversees the day-to-day management of the HBA’s Global Ambassador Program, including pipeline development, volunteer coordination, and program support. This role facilitates program launches, introductions, and sales while collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment and optimization. The Manager is responsible for organizing program events, maintaining metrics, and driving continuous improvement to enhance program sustainability, scalability, and participant engagement. Additionally, the role supports the program’s global volunteer infrastructure, develops program resources, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure operational excellence and alignment with HBA's strategic priorities.

POSITION DETAILS:

This role will have responsibility for the following functions:

HBA GAP Pipeline Development & Launch Administration

  • Manage day-to-day HBA Global Ambassador Program operations, ensuring satisfaction and premium service, and building relationships to enhance the program experience and relationship with the HBA.
  • Serve as frontline liaison to participating corporate partners, program cohorts, and program pipeline management.
  • Conduct initial company program introductions (as needed) and hold quarterly live informational sessions.
  • Manage program launch window administration, including volunteer assignments and introductions, access to training/onboarding, hosting live office hours, and providing on-demand customer support during a company’s initial onboarding phase.
  • Manage corporate pipeline prospects, develop program pipeline, and maintain launch calendar.

Corporate Partner Support

  • Coordinate and liaise with Business Development and Account Management teams to build and prepare the GAP business development pipeline in anticipation of defined launch windows and preparing appropriate resourcing needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the GAP program sales/introductory process in collaboration with Business Development and Account Management teams.
  • Serve as key program point of contact for assigned corporate key accounts for quality, satisfaction, relationship management with the goal to increase engagement, spend and utilization.
  • Serve as the key point of contact to HBA corporate relations volunteers to globally expand the footprint of GAP. Responsible for volunteer resource support (e.g., articles, trainings, toolkits), ensuring the program is understood, best leveraged and that HBA components know how to facilitate connections and increase collaboration and local HBA engagement.
  • Maintain metrics and assessment protocols for program evaluations and continuous quality improvement.

Event Coordination & Engagement

  • Schedule, plan and execute the GAP program event calendar, including coordinating program events and integrating other HBA-wide offerings and opportunities to increase participant engagement.
  • Develop copy for the Ambassador monthly digest of upcoming program events and engagement opportunities in collaboration for deployment by HBA External Affairs.
  • Develop social media promotion best practices with the HBA External Affairs team for participants and company members.
  • Contribute to Alumni network development, implementation and sustainability.
  • Develop and execute engagement plans across virtual community platforms to increase participation and HBA membership interactivity.
  • Support Senior Manager, Corporate Programs in management of global program volunteer infrastructure, including recruitment/retention, assignments, recognition, and virtual communities for peer support and connections.

Resource & Operations Management

  • Maintain and improve program resources, regularly reviewing/refreshing program tools, trainings, documents, and ensuring best practices are captured.
  • Manages program operations, including technical and financial processes/tracking.
  • Contribute to program strategy development, budget development and spending decisions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Cross-functional collaboration with other HBA departments as needed to pull through IT, data, finance, operations, education, policy, marketing and process needs and improvements.
  • Responsible for continuous program improvement and growth, identifying needs/priorities to ensure sustainability, scalability, quality and satisfaction.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferred fields: Business, Communications, Public Health, Education, International Relations, or related fields).

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in stakeholder engagement, program management, and cross-functional collaboration.   • Volunteer Coordination: Experienced in managing, engaging, and supporting a global volunteer network.

  • Event Planning & Facilitation: Plans and executes virtual and in-person events with attention to detail and participant engagement.
  • Customer Service Mindset: Provides high-touch support during onboarding and ongoing program participation.
  • Data & Metrics Orientation: Comfortable with tracking outcomes and driving continuous improvement based on performance data.
  • Tech-Savvy: Adept with digital tools for project management, CRM, event platforms, and communication.
  • Capable of performing other duties as assigned by senior management.
