Job summary

Avis Budget Group seeks a Fleet Maintenance and Damage Manager in Jackson, MS to optimize fleet utilization across maintenance, repair, and in-fleet/de-fleet activities. You will manage technicians, oversee vendor performance, and drive safe, compliant operations.

You will also lead hiring, onboarding, and training, while coordinating damage appraisals, parts ordering, and adherence to service level agreements. Strong leadership and finance acumen required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 2–4 year college degree preferred (or equivalent in education, training or experience).
• Minimum of 5 years management experience in rental car, automotive shop or service oriented field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including early morning, nights, or weekends.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and oversee multiple work areas.

• Directs and manages fleet maintenance, repair and in-fleet/de-fleet activities to maximize fleet utilization.
• Oversees vendor relationships and workload to meet service levels and policies.
