Job summary

Modivcare is seeking a Manager of Fleet Management to lead a multi-state corporate fleet of 150–300 passenger vehicles. The role covers strategy, maintenance, compliance, vendor relations, and performance to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will drive fleet positioning, optimize allocation, reduce downtime, and manage budgets while coaching staff and ensuring DOT compliance. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Six+ years of experience with a multi-state corporate fleet program.
  • Two years of leadership responsibility.
  • Experience with vehicle maintenance providers and preventive maintenance.
  • Experience handling body damage claims and fleet disposals.
  • Ability to develop and manage a fleet budget.
  • Experience in the transportation industry and regulatory compliance (DOT).
  • NAFA/Automotive Fleet Manager certification desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manages vehicle licensing and registration.
  • Collaborates with Operations to determine fleet profile and allocation strategy.
  • Sets fleet management parameters to support the business.
  • Identifies and migrates to a fleet management program.
  • Ensures servicing and maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Develops maintenance and retirement policies for efficiency.
  • Evaluates and recommend fleet purchasing options (buy/lease).
  • Evaluates alternative fuel vehicles for fleet use.
  • Monitors driving practices and records servicing/inspection.
  • Manages gas card program and related systems.
  • Monitors and improves driver behavior and incidents data.
  • Analyzes data to improve operational efficiency and cost controls.
  • Negotiates with suppliers and resolves disputes.
  • Leads staffing, coaching, and performance development.
  • Manages budgeting, variance analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Travel may be required.
