Job summary

Highspring seeks a senior financial leader to oversee the organization’s technical accounting function, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance and policy development. You will guide complex accounting issues, prepare technical memos, and support reporting, audits, and private equity collaboration.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Your Role

You will serve as a key financial leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s technical accounting function, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and internal policies. This role provides authoritative guidance on complex accounting issues, leads the preparation of technical accounting memos, and supports financial reporting, audit readiness, and policy development. This role requires a hands‑on leader with experience in a fast‑paced, private equity‑backed environment, preferably within consulting, professional services, or staffing.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to build scalable processes, lead high‑performing global teams, and partner cross‑functionally to support growth.

Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS which would include preparation of Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flows and Stockholders Equity
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting monthly across multiple global entities
  • Ensure timely and accurate quarterly bank compliance reporting
  • Manage audits and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
  • Maintain and enforce internal controls and accounting policies
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with evolving standards and business needs
Global Accounting Operations
  • Lead day‑to‑day accounting functions including revenue recognition, lease accounting and fixed asset accounting
  • Oversee consolidation of international subsidiaries, including foreign currency considerations
  • Ensure proper accounting for complex staffing revenue streams (e.g., time & materials, fixed price, direct hire) and intercompany transactions both across geographies and revenue streams
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Legal, Tax, FP&A) to assess accounting implications of business initiatives.
Private Equity Reporting & Support
  • Partner with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders on financial reporting and performance metrics
  • Support board reporting, lender compliance, and covenant reporting
  • Assist with M&A activities including due diligence, integration, divestiture and corresponding accounting treatment
Process Improvement & Systems
  • Own the quality and integrity of supporting schedules and workpapers, ensuring they are accurate, well‑controlled, and presented at a level suitable for external audit and executive review.
  • Build and scale accounting processes to support cleanup of end‑to‑end accounting treatment from rapid growth and global expansion
  • Evaluate and implement automation tools and reporting enhancements
  • Drive continuous improvement in close cycles and reporting accuracy mainly through the introduction of AI tools and time‑saving initiatives
Team Leadership
  • Exhibit a proactive communication style

At a Minimum, You Will Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA required)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate complex accounting matters to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles and international leadership experience
  • Experience in a private equity‑backed company strongly preferred
  • Background in consulting, staffing, or professional services industries highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS experience a plus)
  • Strong technical experience including revenue recognition, intercompany and corresponding eliminations, stock compensation/equity, transfer pricing,
  • Experience with global consolidations and multi‑entity environments
  • Proven ability to manage audits and interact with external stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, preferred)
  • Strong reporting capabilities on a reported and proforma basis (experience with Workday Adaptive a plus)

Compensation

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Highspring believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure to be between the range below. The individual may also be eligible for a variety of bonus and financial incentives based on individual and company performance.

Base Compensation Range: $138,000 USD - $160,000 USD
