Job summary

Wipfli is seeking a senior accounting professional to review financial reports and KPIs, lead budgeting and cash flow modeling, and provide technical accounting support to clients and internal teams. This role also focuses on developing staff, collaborating with advisory partners, and identifying opportunities to move clients to higher-value services.

The position requires 4–6 years in accounting, 3+ years of people management, and a CPA/MBA preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business required.
  • 4–6 years of experience in public or private accounting.
  • 3+ years of managing associates and/or teams.
  • Professional certification (e.g., MBA, CPA) preferred.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preferred proficiency in industry accounting software, e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, PointCareClick and a demonstrated ability to embrace new technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $97,000 to $145,000 with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
