Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis to drive strategic planning and provide insights into financial impact across business units. You will develop forecasts, analyze trends, and support decisions with rigorous modeling.

The role requires strong data analysis, communication skills, and the ability to present findings to leadership. Occasional travel is expected as part of the job.

Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in data research, financial analysis, and forecasting.
  • 4 year degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced problem solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze various data, model complex scenarios, and forecast trends.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial and business related research and analysis on existing processes, markets, and business units.
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and resource investments.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
  • Develop sophisticated modeling to forecast business trends.
  • Assist with special financial and business related studies and cooperate with other departments in preparing analyses.
  • Compile and prepare reports, graphs and charts of research results.
  • Provide market intelligence, evaluate local markets, analyze current and potential financial metrics, and make recommendations.
  • Analyze, determine and recommend staffing levels for various markets.
  • Responsible for end-of-year budgets for the Income Statement.

As a Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis, you will support and assist in advancing the Company’s strategic plans by providing insightful business analyses, financial impact estimates, and forecasts of existing trends in business processes, resource investments, and business units to evaluate progress toward long range goals and make recommendations for achieving those goals.

In this role you will:
  • Prepare financial and business related research and analysis on existing processes, markets, and business units

Compensation Details:

The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $105,000 annually, depending on experience.This position is also incentive eligible, based on specific and relevant business metrics.
