As a Manager, Financial Assurance supporting Manufacturing and Technical Operations (MTO) function, you will be trusted to support internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) assessments for our manufacturing and inventory management throughout Alcon. In addition, this role will support key initiatives to implement new processes and drive process efficiency in a cross-functional environment. In this role, a typical day will include:



  • Support the Director with planning and execution of ICFR program for complex manufacturing and inventory processes, globally. This includes performing walkthroughs of processes and testing of controls to obtain reasonable assurance that all significant risks are appropriately identified and effectively mitigated.

  • Assess and prioritize risks, and develop testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of controls.

  • Provide insight on process design and help the Director make a determination of gaps, identify solutions and work with stakeholders to implement the solutions.

  • Communicate issues and findings to the Director, Senior Management and Global Process Owners in an effective manner.



WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:


Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or inventory management-related environment

  • CPA or CIA certification

  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
