Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a finance professional to provide detailed financial analysis for the McDonald’s business unit and to support the Director of Accounting.

The role emphasizes profitability reporting, pricing support, and cross-functional collaboration with the brand team as needed. Daily responsibilities include profitability analysis, sales support, and margin reporting, with quarterly duties around rolling projections and additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 5+ years’ experience in Finance.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SAP PPS/ Tyson reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reports to the Director of Accounting.
• Strong relationship management and understanding of business cycles affecting Sales and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis for the McDonald’s business unit and support the Director of Accounting.
• Deliver sales profitability, plant operations and margin analyses.
• Support BU sales financials and pricing analysis.
• Prepare quarterly rolling projections and assist BU Controller with forecasting.
• Manage reconciliation reporting and assist with balance sheet analysis.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing financial analysis for the McDonald’s business unit while supporting the Director of Accounting with primary focus on McDonald’s. This position also communicates with and provides information to the brand team on an as needed basis.

Daily weekly responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• financial analysis for both sales profitability reporting and plant operations
• business unit sales financial support
• pricing support
• margin reporting and analysis
• business unit volume price and mix analysis
• business unit balance sheet management reconciliation reporting and analysis

Quarterly responsibilities include:

• assisting the BU Controller with the rolling six quarter projection preparation
• analysis and reporting
• other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Experience: 5 plus years’ experience in Finance.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office Excel Word and PowerPoint; SAP financial applications PPS and Tyson Financial reporting applications preferred.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reports to: Director of Accounting
• Special Skills: Relationship management; Basic knowledge of all business cycles systems and processes that impact Sales and Operations.
• Supervisory: None.
• Travel: 4 or fewer trips per year.
