Job description

Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.

We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.

We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.

If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.

About the Role:

Join Crusoe's Finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance, Manufacturing. You will serve as an embedded "on-the-floor" operational and strategic finance partner to Manufacturing leadership, translate operational drivers into clear financial impacts and actionable business recommendations. We're seeking a commercially-minded and results-driven finance professional who is inspired to challenge the status quo and act as a co-pilot in steering the business towards its financial goals.

What You'll Be Working On:
  • Operational Finance Partnership: Act as a hands-on, "on-the-floor" partner to Manufacturing leadership; translate factory-floor operational drivers (e.g., production efficiency, utilization, uptime) into real-time P&L impacts and actionable recommendations.

  • Project Collaboration & Visibility: Collaborate closely with Project Managers and engineering teams to gain deep visibility into production schedules, project lifecycles, and operational bottlenecks, ensuring financial models accurately reflect the project status.

  • Production Unit Economics: Build and maintain detailed production cost models from the ground; track unit costs, Bill of Materials (BoM) assumptions, and total cost-to-produce to drive margin expansion.

  • Inventory & Lifecycle Risk Management: Oversee inventory health, E&O reserves, partnering with operational and supply chain leads to implement proactive vendor strategies; drive the seamless transition of unit costs into COGS.

  • Driver-Based Analysis: Translate operational drivers (e.g., production efficiency, utilization, operational uptime) into P&L impacts and actionable recommendations

  • Performance Management Reporting: Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews, budget & forecast variance analysis, and build clear, actionable performance narratives for Exec, Board, and Investor materials

  • Profitability and Efficiency Initiatives: Proactively identify risks & opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency, partnering with operational teams to develop improvement plans.

  • Planning & Forecasting: Own annual budget, monthly forecast and long-range planning processes, collaborating closely with department heads to ensure financial plans are ambitious, actionable, and aligned with corporate targets

  • Cost Accounting & Product Costing: Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation; deliver insights on cost drivers to support margin management and investment decisions

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Liaise across Finance, Accounting, Treasury, to meet reporting and control standards

  • Process & Control Integrity: Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and audit requirements

What You'll Bring to the Team:
  • Onsite across Manufacturing locations at least 2 days/week, primarily Arvada; some light travel necessary

  • Strong manufacturing finance background with working knowledge of Cost Accounting

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2+ years supporting a business unit P&L

  • Capital budgeting & resource planning experience

  • Advanced financial modeling skills and ability to build driver-based models, sensitivity analyses, and complex operational scenarios from the ground up.

  • Strong business acumen; able to connect financial analysis to operational and strategic levers.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex operational data into clear financial insights and executive-ready narratives.

  • Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment. You don't wait to be asked; you readily identify problems, instinctively seek solutions, and take ownership of outcomes.

  • Experience in a high-growth technology, infrastructure, energy, or data center environment strongly preferred.

  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills with ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, Oracle, SAP) and financial planning/BI tools experience

  • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related analytical field; MBA, CFA, or CPA a plus.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with project management and technical teams to translate project-specific updates into financial impact analysis.
