Job summary

LifeStance Health is seeking a Finance Business Partner for Revenue to deliver analytical insights and drive cross-functional alignment for executive decisions. You will lead revenue growth initiatives, oversee complex payor strategies, and manage advanced financial modeling and automation workflows.

As a senior finance partner, you will influence strategic direction, collaborate across departments, and help maximize profitability within a fast-growing mental health platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience in an analytical role (FP&A).
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, and modeling.
• Healthcare fee schedule modeling or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership to drive revenue growth and cross-functional alignment.
• Lead payor negotiations and contract modeling to optimize net visits revenue.
• Develop internal analytics tooling with Power BI/PowerQuery for forecasting.
• Oversee Revenue Cycle & Chargemaster data management and audits.
• Monitor CMS guidelines and assess financial/operational impact.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Serve as a strategic Finance Business Partner for Revenue, delivering analytical insights and driving cross-functional alignment to support executive level decision making. Lead comprehensive revenue growth initiatives, spearhead complex payor negotiation strategies, and oversee advanced financial modeling, database analytics, and process automation workflows.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Financial Leadership & Growth: Drive revenue growth initiatives and partner with operational and business development stakeholders to develop and implement strategies
• Payor Negotiations & Reimbursement: Spearhead payor negotiation strategies with payer engagement leadership by leveraging sophisticated contract modeling to maximize net revenue per visit growth.
• Advanced Analytical & Process Automation: Lead the development and execution of custom Financial Analysis and Planning internal tooling, including building custom PowerBI and PowerQuery models to streamline financial and forecast reporting.
• Revenue Cycle & Chargemaster Management: Partner directly with Revenue Cycle Management to oversee Chargemaster Data Management, manage Payor Fee Schedules audits, and evaluation of Self-Pay.
• CMS Regulations & Behavioral Services: Monitor and analyze CMS Medicare guidelines and regulatory changes, evaluating their direct financial and operational impact on Behavioral Professional Services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to interpret operational and VBC data, translating complex financial trends into actionable corporate strategies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or relevant field required
• 7+ years of experience in an analytical role, such as financial planning & analysis (FP&A)
• Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices; strong understanding of GAAP, financial statements, both internal and external, and financial modeling
• Professional Healthcare Fee Schedule modeling preferred
• Experience as a People Leader preferred
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to give results with data
• Expert proficiency in Excel and a solid understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
• SQL experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills, including handling multiple deliverables and assignments, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently
• Proactive and self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and high-growth environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to interact with different management levels
