Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Manager to join our Federal Advisory practice in the United States. The role focuses on reviewing tools for process mapping and data analysis, leading teams to map current and future state of financial management functions, and driving change management during finance transformation.

Candidates should have 5+ years in federal financial management, a bachelor's degree, and may hold CPA/CISA/PMP or similar certifications. Willingness to travel and ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of Federal financial management experience.
• Experience with government standards (FASAB, GAO, FAR, FMR, CFR, Treasury, OMB).
• Professional certifications preferred (CPA, CISA, PMP, CGFM, CDFM, CFE, LSS).
• Ability to travel and hold U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review tools and outputs for process mapping, visualization, and data analysis.
• Lead teams to document current and future state of financial management functions and drive change management.
• Support development of financial strategies and training materials.
• Identify stakeholders and opportunities to improve financial operations and processes.
• Oversee root-cause analysis, validate actions, and manage project dependencies and risks.

Responsibilities:

• Review developed tools and outputs for process mapping, visualization, and data analysis
• Review work products, lead walkthroughs, lead teams to document current and future state of financial management functions, execute change management efforts related to finance transformation, support the development of financial strategies, and create and execute training materials
• Identify key stakeholders, organizational improvement in financial management & operations, process workflow, and roles & responsibilities
• Oversee the review of root-cause analysis activities, validate corrective actions, link like-kind issues, create roadmaps, identify dependencies and risks
• Review audit requests and prepare responses, support walkthroughs, including communication with various stakeholders, and execute formal project management activities
• Research, interpret, review and communicate the impact of Federal standards, policies, and regulations on financial operations

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of experience with Federal financial management & controls, reporting, budgeting, auditing, or audit readiness
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA/ CISA/ PMP/ CGFM/ CDFM/ CFE/ LSS preferred
• Experience with FASAB, GAO, FAR, FMR, CFR, Treasury, and OMB
• Strong understanding of business processes, project management methodologies, and leading financial practices
• Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
• Applicant must possess a U.S. Government Secret clearance
