The District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority is seeking a Manager for Facilities Program Management to oversee the work of engineering consulting firms in Washington, DC. The Manager, Facilities Program Management coordinates and manages the work of professional engineering consulting firms, either directly or using core staff of DC Water supervisors. Provides program policy direction, and quality and cost control of both the outsource work and activities of in‑house personnel.
Provides daily planning and administration, directly or through subordinates, in the selection, assignment, supervision, promotion, discipline, and training of personnel within the branch.
Interacts with officials throughout the Authority, other government and outside entities, and private consultants and contractors.
Seven (7) years of progressive experience in non‑process facilities management, to include five (5) years of experience in supervising professional staff in design or construction and managing non‑process facilities consulting contracts.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field from an accredited college or university.
Must possess a DC Professional Engineer’s License at the time of hire.
