Job summary

Stoughton Trailers, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Leader to guide a multi-shift maintenance team at Plant Evansville. You will implement preventative and predictive maintenance, improve equipment reliability, and oversee PLC/hydraulic/pneumatic systems while coordinating with production leadership.

Responsibilities include budgeting, vendor relations, spare parts management, and enforcing safety standards across the facility. Strong leadership and communication are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing maintenance teams and multiple facility priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Manage work orders, planned maintenance activities, and emergency repairs.
  • Partner with production and plant leadership to identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements.
  • Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics, including OEE, MTBF, MTTR, downtime trends.
  • Research and implement new technologies and best practices.
  • Coordinate facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and control expenditures.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to source maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment.
  • Maintain effective spare parts inventory management.
  • Develop and manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Negotiate and oversee maintenance-related contracts and services.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain expertise in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintenance safety standards.
  • Promote a safe work environment for all employees and contractors.

  • Experience developing apprenticeship or skilled trades training programs.
  • Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Reliability Centered Maintenance experience.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment.
  • Regular standing, walking, and equipment inspections throughout the facility.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and access elevated equipment when necessary.
  • Must be available to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
