- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians across multiple shifts.
- Establish clear priorities and assign resources to meet production and maintenance objectives.
- Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing maintenance team.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Maintenance & Reliability
- Develop and execute preventative, predictive, and autonomous maintenance programs.
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Oversee troubleshooting and repair activities involving mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Manage work orders, planned maintenance activities, and emergency repairs.
Operational Excellence
- Partner with production and plant leadership to identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements.
- Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics, including:
- OEE
- MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures)
- MTTR (Mean Time to Repair)
- Downtime trends
- Research and implement new technologies and best practices.
Project & Budget Management
- Coordinate facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
- Manage maintenance budgets and control expenditures.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to source maintenance supplies, parts, and equipment.
- Maintain effective spare parts inventory management.
- Develop and manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Negotiate and oversee maintenance-related contracts and services.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain expertise in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintenance safety standards.
- Promote a safe work environment for all employees and contractors.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing maintenance teams and multiple facility priorities.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM).
- Knowledge of thermography, vibration analysis, and oil analysis programs.
- Experience developing apprenticeship or skilled trades training programs.
- Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Reliability Centered Maintenance experience.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment.
- Regular standing, walking, and equipment inspections throughout the facility.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and access elevated equipment when necessary.
- Must be available to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
