Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Bristol is seeking a dedicated supervisor for public area cleaning operations and guest service excellence. Under the Director of Engineering, you will oversee daily cleaning schedules and mentor team members to deliver high-quality guest experiences.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory housekeeping experience; an Associate’s degree is preferred. You must pass background checks and drug screening and be at least 21.

Responsibilities

• Create an atmosphere that induces guests to choose Hard Rock Casino Bristol and build guest relations.
• Prepare work schedules and assign projects to meet cleaning and guest service standards.
• Provide coaching, counseling, and training; assist in hiring and team member evaluations.
• Conduct public area inspections to ensure quality and production standards.
• Recommend adjustments to procedures to improve guest service.
• Resolve guest problems to ensure total satisfaction.
• Prepare daily reports and promote interdepartmental communication.
• Conduct property inspections to ensure policy adherence and identify problems.
• Resolve guest requests and participate in meetings with follow-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering, the incumbent in this position is responsible for smooth and efficient cleaning operations in public areas and top-quality guest service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
• Prepares work schedules and assigns projects as necessary to ensure cleaning standards and guest service standards are met.
• Performs supervisory duties such as coaching, corrective counseling, motivation of staff, providing assistance in hiring, establishing training programs and conducting training as necessary and conducting team member evaluations.
• Conducts detailed public area inspections to ensure adherence to quality and production standards and to identify problems.
• Recommends adjustments to departmental procedures to more effectively service the guest.
• Resolves problem situations to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Prepares daily reports and promotes effective communication both internally and with other departments.
• Conducts detailed property inspections to ensure adherence to departmental policies and to identify problems.
• Resolve guest problems/requests to ensure total customer satisfaction.
• Attend and participate in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Perform work regularly and predictably.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 to 5 years of housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial supervisory experience. An Associate’s Degree preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):

• Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must successfully pass drug screening.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Regulatory requirements.

• Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
