Ocular Therapeutix, Inc. is seeking an ERP Master Data Management (MDM) Manager to establish and govern core data domains within the ERP ecosystem.

This role ensures data integrity across Item Masters, BOMs, product configurations, and vendor/customer master data, collaborating with Supply Chain, QA, Procurement, Manufacturing, and IT. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of MDM or data governance experience, hands‑on ERP expertise (SAP S/4HANA preferred), and strong data profiling, Excel, and SQL

Position Summary:

The ERP Master Data Management (MDM) Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and governing the core data domains within the company’s enterprise resource planning ecosystem. This role ensures the absolute integrity, quality, and synchronization of critical master data—including Item Masters, Bills of Materials (BOMs), product configurations, and vendor/customer master data—across all corporate systems. Acting as a strategic bridge between Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Manufacturing and IT, the MDM professional spearheads data governance policies, maps complex workflows (such as Plan to Produce and Subcontracting Process), and mitigates compliance risks by systematically enforcing standardized naming conventions, change control protocols, and data validation rules.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Responsible for daily data creation, maintenance, and validation.
• Data Governance & Strategy: Design, implement, and enforce an enterprise-wide ERP master data governance framework, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and data workflows.
• Data Quality & Auditing: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for data cleanliness, accuracy, and completeness. Conduct regular data profiling and cleansing audits.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Intelligence teams to align data definitions and support system integration projects.
• Change Management: Lead data migration strategies during ERP upgrades or rollouts, ensuring zero downtime and minimal disruption to business operations.
• SOP & Training Leadership: Evaluate, draft, and revise ERP-relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). Conduct targeted training sessions for business users to drive data-entry excellence and process compliance.

Qualification Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Life Sciences, IT, Data Management
• 5+ years of experience in master data management (MDM) or data governance, ERP Expertise: Deep, hands‑on experience working with major ERP platforms. SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Compliance Knowledge: Fluency in cGMP/FDA regulations and extensive experience managing ERP data.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in data profiling tools, Excel (advanced), and MDM software (e.g., Informatica, SAP MDG). SQL is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, strong problem‑solving capabilities, and the ability to translate complex data concepts into business terms.
• Exceptional problem‑solving skills in high‑ambiguity, fast‑paced environments
• Enhanced knowledge of Supply Chain & Manufacturing processes and workflows is a strong plus.

Salary Range

$160,000—$175,000 USD
