Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements and ensure deliverables meet timelines and budget.
  • Document as-is workflows and specify future state changes for Epic configurations.
  • Configure, test, and document Epic/PM systems for clients.
  • Maintain client engagement expectations and deadlines across engagements.
  • Identify system improvements, propose solutions, and implement changes as needed.
  • Travel up to 100% may be required depending on client needs.
  • Support business development in opportunities with MAS.

Job description

Job Summary

Consulting Manager will provide clients healthcare consulting services by assessing the client's business needs, recommending and implementing Epic and operational solutions, and managing deliverables to timeline and budget. Position reflects industry experience in a hospital or practice setting with the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Job Duties
  • Consults with clients to identify operational goals and needs then translates the client's needs into detail requirement specifications
  • Documents the current state workflows
  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies designated systems including completing configuration, testing, and documentation
  • Ensures client engagement expectations and deliverable deadlines are met
  • Prepares and completes action plans, determines system improvements, resolves problems, and implements necessary changes as identified
  • Investigates alternative solutions including feasibility using vendor analysis and vendor evaluations
  • Identifies new opportunities for implementation, optimization, upgrades, and ongoing application support in conjunction with MAS Business Development
  • Travel may be an essential requirement for this position (dependent on client requirements) and could require a commitment of up to 100% travel.

Supervises the day-to-day workload on assigned engagements and reviews work product

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education
  • Bachelor's degree, required; focus in Information Technology or Information Systems, preferred; OR eight (8) or more years of industry experience with EHR/Practice Management vendor systems, required
Experience
  • Three (3) years of Epic build/optimization experience, required
  • Five (5) years of healthcare industry experience, with a vendor or consulting organization, or within a large provider-based delivery system, required
  • Experience with EHR vendor systems such as Cerner, athenaIDX, Allscripts, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s)/Affiliation(s)
  • Epic Certification, required
Software
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills, required
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Visio, required
  • Proficient in SharePoint, preferred

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $125,000 - $155,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $125,000 - $155,000

Maryland Range: $125,000 - $155,000
