Job summary

Secretariat seeks a Manager for Engineering Sciences with Electrical Engineering expertise to lead a growing practice in Chicago or New York. You will drive client engagements, recruit and mentor staff, and manage challenging projects for high-profile clients in finance, law, and regulation.

You will apply power electronics and control systems knowledge to solve complex failures, coordinate budgets, and communicate results clearly to clients and teams. Global travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Established track record in business development and existing client-base.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with power electronics and control systems is a plus.
  • Experience with circuit analysis and industrial process control is a plus.
  • Ability to travel globally as needed.
  • Strong report writing and data-driven analysis skills.

ABOUT OUR GLOBAL ENGINEERING SCIENCES TEAM

As part of our expanding Global Engineering and Scientific consulting team, you will work at the forefront of today's most complex engineering challenges. You will be engaged in analyzing failures of a myriad of products from a variety of industries from automotive, construction, consumer products, consumer electronics and medical devices to name a few. Secretariat leverages our diverse technical expertise, and industry knowledge of a variety of structures and products to provide clients with world‑class value to identify solutions that drive performance and safety.

This position is available in either our Chicago or New York office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Attracting and winning new business opportunities for Secretariat in both expert witness and or strategic consulting
  • Contributing to the growth of Secretariat's Electrical Engineering practice by recruiting talented staff
  • Mentoring and driving growth of Electrical Engineering staff
  • Providing project management and project budget oversight
  • Exceptional analytical skills, problem solving, communication skills, and creativity are the foundation for successful professionals at Secretariat.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Established track record for business development and existing client-base
  • Requisite professional degrees:
  • PhD or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science & Engineering
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience with Power electronics, Industrial process control, consumer products, circuit analysis, control system is a plus
  • The ability to travel globally as needed.
  • The ability to work odd hours to adjust to client needs globally
  • Strong report writing skills to complement analytics
  • Able to quickly assimilate relevant information in unfamiliar situations and develop creative approaches and solutions necessary to resolve complex problems
  • The ability to manage and prioritize your time and your team's time, potentially against a backdrop of competing deadlines

Pay Transparency

$135,000 - $160,000 USD
