Your Role

The Manager, Engineering oversees a team responsible for designing and delivering complex services, integrations, cloud-native applications, and enterprise technology capabilities. This leader ensures teams have the strategy, structure, talent, standards, and execution discipline needed to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee delivery execution from planning through release, including team capacity, sequencing, delivery status, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder updates.
  • Manage staffing, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and day-to-day team operations to ensure the team has the right talent and capacity to meet delivery needs.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, Platform, QA, and business stakeholders to scope, prioritize, and deliver work aligned to business and product goals.
  • Support engineers in designing and delivering scalable, secure, cloud‑ready solutions, while ensuring appropriate technical review, standards alignment, and decision‑making discipline.
  • Help resolve delivery blockers, technical issues, risks, and dependencies, escalating when needed and coordinating across teams to keep delivery moving.
  • Monitor delivery health, quality, reliability, operational performance, and team effectiveness through KPIs, Agile metrics, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Promote modern engineering practices, including secure development, CI/CD, cloud-native approaches, automation, testability, maintainability, observability, and effective use of AI‑assisted development tools.
  • Ensure team solutions are reliable, maintainable, secure, scalable, and aligned to enterprise standards, architectural patterns, and operational expectations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, engineering pragmatism, continuous learning, and clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 7 years of experience in software engineering, full stack development, platform engineering, technical delivery, infrastructure engineering, or related technology disciplines.
  • 2 years of prior management, team leadership, supervisor, project/program management, or equivalent people leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery models, backlog management, technical scope management, risk management, prioritization, coaching, and delegation.
  • Technical fluency across modern engineering practices such as cloud-native development, APIs, CI/CD, version control, secure development, system integrations, data models, and maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks, backend services, APIs, SQL and/or NoSQL databases, RESTful integrations, cloud platforms, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted coding tools preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Design, QA, Security, Platform, Architecture, vendor, and business teams.
