Job summary

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee daily operations in the emergency department. You will supervise staff, promote quality patient care, and collaborate with the Director to meet organizational goals.

The role requires an active RN licensure, an Associate Degree, and 1–3+ years of nursing leadership experience, with certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, and additional interventions completed within defined timelines.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• 1-3+ years of nursing leadership experience

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the emergency department. He/she is also responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel. The Nurse Manager creates a common vision to facilitate continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care in support of the organization's mission and vision. The Nurse Manager assumes the role as leader in planning, organizing, coaching, and facilitating his/her department functions in collaboration with the Director and staff to assure quality service is provided. Responsible for helping the Director meet JCAHO standards, complying with the organization's policies and procedures, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management.
