The Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the emergency department. He/she is also responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and active nursing license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications or ability to obtain within specified timeframes
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
• Demonstrated leadership experience in Emergency Department operations

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department
• Supervise and develop nursing staff and support personnel
• Collaborate with the Director to ensure quality of care and regulatory compliance
• Lead planning, organizing, coaching, and facilitating department functions to meet organizational goals
• Promote teamwork with physicians and other healthcare providers and manage resources effectively

Job Summary:

The Nurse Manager creates a common vision to facilitate continuous quality improvement in the delivery of patient care in support of the organization's mission and vision. The Nurse Manager assumes the role as leader in planning, organizing, coaching, and facilitating his/her department functions in collaboration with the Director and staff to assure quality service is provided. Responsible for helping the Director meet JCAHO standards, complying with the organization's policies and procedures, for promoting teamwork with physicians and all healthcare providers, for promoting internal and external customer satisfaction and for appropriate resource management.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
