We are looking for an Embedded Software Test Manager who brings their experience to ensure that our products have been thoroughly tested and deliveries are rock-solid!

You will work with cross-functional teams to build robust and scalable test methodologies that meet the high-quality bar that our customers expect. Come join our team in Austin, TX!


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of robust test plans (black box and white box) for new features and products, ensuring thorough coverage and alignment with customer needs.
  • Guide and mentor team members, offering technical expertise and support to overcome complex test and validation challenges.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by engaging effectively with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software and marketing to drive aligned testing strategies.
  • Make sound priority decisions based on project timelines, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Champion the adoption of automation across test processes and contribute to the design of a scalable Continuous Integration environment.
  • Own team communication and reporting—clearly present test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders including product owners and internal customers.
  • Analyze and debug issues in pre-silicon and post-silicon phases using software tools and lab equipment.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and team productivity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with 14+ years of experience in embedded systems and software testing.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, RTOS, MCU/DSP architectures, and programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, C, C++).
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams through technical challenges and career development.
  • Experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, signal/spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a technical leadership or engineering management role, with demonstrated success in managing teams and delivering high-quality software products.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development, SDLC processes, and defect management best practices.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Git/SVN, and Jenkins or other continuous integration systems.
  • Background in defining and implementing test automation strategies and improving engineering workflows through process and tool enhancements.
