Job Summary
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a strong functional leader to serve as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead and Cost Account Manager (CAM). The role requires leading a cross‑functional engineering team and managing cost/accounting responsibilities to deliver products on time and within budget.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute as a direct contributor supporting business area programs in a part‑time technical or leadership capacity.
- Lead an engineering functional group of 10–15 engineers, performing performance management, career development, staffing, job assignment, onboarding, mentoring, engagement, and merit planning.
- Collaborate with Engineering Execution group and program management to define IPT Lead/CAM staffing needs.
- Maintain awareness of each group member’s project responsibilities, provide guidance, and help meet objectives.
- Ensure application of all applicable processes within the group.
- Review proposal content and BOEs, and review Comprehensive Estimate at Complete (CEAC) inputs.
- Collaborate with section and peer functional managers on IPT Lead/CAM staffing, role standards, training, tools, templates, development opportunities, pipeline, and mentorship.
- Maintain special program access and support Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or STEM discipline plus 9 years of engineering/project management experience, OR master’s degree plus 7 years.
- U.S. Citizenship and current/active Secret Clearance.
- Demonstrated success as an IPT Lead or program manager leading a team of 10+ engineers.
- Experience as a Cost Account Manager supporting EVMS.
- Working knowledge of risk and opportunity management.
- Familiarity with organizational processes, roles, tools, and facilities related to hardware design, development, test, and/or production at the NGMS BWI facility.
- Experience supporting proposals and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- Briefing NG customers and executive management.
- Availability onsite at the BWI facility during first shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated success leading large high‑performing teams as an IPT Lead and CAM through design, development, and/or transition to production at NGMS BWI.
- Strong working knowledge of the factory and engineering/production test.
- Experience with the Root Cause Correction Action (RCCA) process.
- Fluency with developing and executing project schedules.
- Experience managing products on the critical path of a program.
- PMP certification a plus.
- Active and current Top Secret clearance a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $153,800.00 – $230,800.00.
- Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and annual bonuses.
