Job summary

RTX’s Collins Aerospace EH&S team at Windsor Locks, CT, seeks an experienced leader to develop and drive environmental, health, and safety programs across the site. You will collaborate with senior and line management to deliver compliant, effective EH&S initiatives and drive performance improvements.

The role requires strong communication, proactive incident response, and deep knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • 5+ years prior experience in EH&S
  • Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and builds partnership at site across all levels of the organization to foster EH&S culture improvement
  • Provide technical guidance to the leadership team to ensure effective execution of EH&S Management System requirements
  • Partners with site leadership and supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with federal, state and local regulations
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise; establish and support timely incident investigation process to prevent reoccurrences
  • Ensure timely risk assessments and adequate controls for EH&S processes; oversees comprehensive EH&S training program; maintains readiness for oversight audits (assurance reviews, program evaluations, compliance reviews, OSHA VPP, ISO 14001, etc.)
  • Provide timely information and guidance to the site EH&S leadership team, site EH&S committee and Sub-committees, including EH&S performance trends and root cause corrective actions for injuries and near misses
  • Support the organization to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence with EH&S standards and procedures
  • Own one or more site EH&S programs

Join us as a dynamic EH&S team member responsible for Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at ourWindsor Locks, CT site.

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with Senior and Line Management to develop and execute effective EH&S programs that drive significant performance improvements aligned with company EH&S requirements and strategic plans.

What You Will Do:

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
