Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a Manager, e-Commerce Content Operations to oversee content across Pottery Barn Kids, PB Teen and Dormify websites.

You will lead CMS execution, standards, and governance, partnering with Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, SEO, Production, and IT to deliver compelling online experiences. You will manage a team, ensure quality, and own content for homepages, banners, SEO articles, and shop paths, while aligning with brand goals.

  • CMS experience required.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce site experience and content hierarchy.
  • Ability to manage multiple content updates and launches across brands.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day content execution, quality and governance.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, SEO, Production and IT for seasonal launches and updates.
  • Lead Content Operations team, mentor staff and manage workload.
  • Serve as the ECM/AEM SME for brand content standards and publishing workflows.
  • Maintain content areas including homepages, banners, shop paths, features and SEO articles.
  • Ensure content reviewed, tested and validated prior to launch with proper tagging and accessibility.
  • Drive end-to-end projects for seasonal product launches and features.
  • Build relationships across channels and brands to improve content experience.
  • Stay updated on CMS best practices and reporting metrics.

You will work with collaborative, creative and strategic cross-functional partners to deliver inspiring online experiences that support customer discovery, category growth, and brand storytelling.

About The Role

The Manager,e-CommerceContentOperations has oversight of the day-to-dayexecution, quality and governance of contentacross thePottery Barn Kids, PB Teen, andDormifywebsites.This role willpartner closelywithCreative, Marketing, Merchandising, SEO, Production, and ITteams todeliversuperioronline experiencefor the customer.The positionwill serve asthebrand leadfor CMS executionandcontent standardsacrossplatformsand channels. This position reports directly to theDirectorofe-CommerceSiteOperations.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage understanding of web design principles,CMScapabilities, consumer behavior, and operational processes to improve site content execution, quality and customer experience.
  • Partner with Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, SEO, Production and IT teams to execute seasonal launches, promotional campaigns, content updates and customer-facing site experiences
  • Manage the Pottery BarnKids, PB Teen andDormifyContentOperations team. From administrative needs and training to overseeing workload,career development, andmentorship
  • Serve as the ECM/AEM subject matter expert for the brands, including content build standards, publishing workflows, component usage and feature enhancements, including working with tech onenhancementfeatures during the release cycle
  • Own execution and maintenance ofallkey content areasincluding homepages,banners, shop paths, features, andSEO articles
  • Manage content updates for high-visibility brand and business needsacross the site
  • Create and maintain tagging standards across site content to improve reporting, consistency and customer experience
  • Partner with team to ensureall content is reviewed, tested and validated prior to launch, including links, imagery, copy, tagging, mobile/app presentation, SEO inputs and customer experience.
  • Proactively review the site with a customer-first mindset, identifying content gaps, outdated experiences, operational risks and customer experience issues while suggesting and delivering solutions
  • End-to-end projectmanagementofseasonal productlaunchesand features
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across all channels within the brand, other WSI brands,andshared services teams
  • Stay abreast ofe-commerce contentbest practices, competitive landscape,CMS capabilities, accessibility considerations and overall business goalsin order torecommend process improvements and content experience enhancements
Criteria
  • 3-5+years inan e-commerce,website operations, content operations, orCMSmanagementrole
  • Strong hands-on experience using a content management system to build, publish and maintain customer-facing website content
  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiplecontent updates, seasonal launches and cross-functional deadlinessimultaneously
  • Strong understandingof e-commerce site experience, content hierarchy, promotional execution and customer journey best practices
  • Ability to adapt and respond with a sense of urgency in a fast paced and evolving working environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of SEO content inputs, metadata, tagging standards and content performance measurement.
  • Creative problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Excellent communication skillsarea must, including the ability toclearly communicate content needs, risks, timelines and tradeoffs to cross-functional partners
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and drive results
  • Previous experience managing a team with direct reportspreferred but not required
  • Ability to lead projects effectively and with minimal supervision andkeenattention to detail
  • Flexible schedule that can accommodate off hour/cadence site launches and technical issue triaging
  • Bachelor’sdegree
  • This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office
Technical Competencies required:
  • Content management system experience required
  • Experience withproject/story management tools such asJIRA, Confluence, etc. required
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics and/or Test & Target suite is a plus

The expected starting pay range for this position is$95,000 - $110,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets.
