Job summary

PPG is seeking a Manager, Digital Customer Solutions to lead the definition, development and launch of digital and equipment solutions for customers worldwide, driving new revenue streams and transforming the digital experience. Job description

PPG is looking for a Manager, Digital Customer Solutions to join our Packaging Coatings team! In this role, you will spearhead the definition, development and launch of digital and equipment solutions to create new revenue streams and drive stickiness by transforming the customer digital experience for our existing and new customers globally. You will lead the technical development and project management of the new digital solutions. You will report to the Director, Global Strategic Marketing - Packaging Coatings at our Pittsburgh, PA Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the project workstreams to establish a digital customer solution in collaboration with global strategic market managers, regional products managers, tech service, and sales to solve customer pain points
• Lead the technical solution ideation and development across AI workstreams, equipment partnerships and technical teams, bringing innovative solutions to the group
• Partner with marketing team to commercialize the offering
• Develop and execute product and service roadmaps in target market segments to support the execution of our growth strategies
• Market assessment / value proposition development and support
  • Assess market trends and perform competitive intelligence and benchmarking regarding digital customer experience and opportunities for utilizing digital solutions.
  • Design user-centric features and experiences using personas and journey mapping techniques.
• New product development / launch / management
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional team members, utilizing assigned resources for product/solution development activities. Lead workstreams and teams via influence to ensure on-time-in-full execution.
  • Align new product launch process across regions to ensure excellent executions and successful rollout
  • Support the development of training on the solutions and their value propositions for our sales and service teams
• Team and vendor management
  • Foster collaboration across software development, program management, and product management teams to ensure timely delivery of roadmap milestones.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with software vendors and equipment partners to deliver a seamless digital customer experience.
• Up to 20%, including international travel
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preference for Masters or PhD. Digital and AI skills are required.
• 10+ years of experience and a proven track record of delivering digital solutions or transformation products
• Experience working globally with teams and customers, understanding cultural nuances to build trust and rapport with people
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, with a focus on prioritizing features and technologies that drive business outcomes
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and technical modeling capabilities
