Job description

Figure is maximizing the value of homeownership in ways that benefit consumers and the industry alike. We’re helping homeowners tap their liquidity easily, efficiently and reasonably for purpose-driven, significant expenditures – everything from dream home renovations and debt consolidation to small business formation.

In seven years, we’ve become the country’s #1 non-bank HELOC lender. As a financial technology firm operating at the intersection of regulation and transformation, we’re a “unicorn” – a group of fewer than 1000 companies globally that is valued at $1B or more and has been in operation for less than ten years.

Our mission requires us to have a creative, team-oriented, and supportive environment where everyone can do their absolute best. We are motivated, innovative, collaborative, and curious. We value individuals who bring a problem-solving mindset to every task. Every day at Figure is a journey in continuous learning combined with a focus on getting work done that makes a difference. Join us!

We’re looking for a crypto-native Manager, Digital Asset Accounting to take ownership of accounting operations with a focus on Figure Markets’ digital assets, wallets, and tokenized products. You’ll help shape and scale our financial infrastructure across asset classes—from crypto to real-world assets—while ensuring compliance, automation, and precision in a fast-evolving ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes for key process areas to ensure timely reporting.
  • Reconcile cash and digital wallet accounts across multiple chains and asset classes including crypto, tokenized equities, and credit instruments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure accurate financial mapping of product flows to the ledger.
  • Implement and manage integrations with digital asset accounting tools to streamline tax reporting, audit preparation, and compliance workflows.
  • Maintain internal controls and partner with technical accounting team to develop and implement accounting policies
  • Support Controllership in preparing reports and related support for management reporting
  • Identify opportunities for automation and scalability in transaction tracking, wallet data ingestion, and product-based accounting.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit preparation and supporting workpapers
  • Accounting for exchange activity including derivatives, perpetuals and other margin trading activity.
  • Support new product launches—like staking, programmable compliance tools, and tokenized financial instruments—with strong financial systems infrastructure.
  • Maintain documentation of product and process flows, standard operating procedures and control narratives.
  • Mentor and develop a small team of accounting professionals at a high growth company.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in crypto, DeFi, or digital asset accounting.
  • Knowledge in wallet infrastructure, blockchain ledger tracing, and asset reconciliation across chains and custodians.
  • Working knowledge of tokenized assets (e.g., stocks, bonds, RWAs) and blockchain-based settlement mechanisms.
  • A cross-functional mindset with the ability to partner across product, engineering, compliance, and tax.
  • Strong attention to detail and accountability in high-volume, multi-asset environments.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and thrive in a fast-moving, startup-like environment.
  • Compensation Range: $102,400 - $128,000
  • Equity stock options package
  • This is the compensation range for the United States, actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience, location, or evolving business needs
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance with 100% employer-paid premiums for employees and their dependents on select plans
  • Company HSA, FSA, Dependent Care, 401k, and commuter benefits
  • Employer-funded life and disability insurance coverage
  • 11 Observed Holidays & PTO plan
  • Up to 12 weeks paid family leave
  • Continuing education reimbursement
