Quanex Building Products Corp. seeks a Design Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team focused on product innovation and manufacturing excellence.

You will oversee initiatives supporting new product development, optimize processes, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and fuel growth. Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience; managing remote team members is a plus.
• Experience with metal fabrication, tooling, and process equipment design.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and building code standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing engineering team and drive product development from concept to launch.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales and Product Management to solve challenges and support growth.
• Drive continuous improvement and data-driven decision making across projects.
• Deliver engineering projects on time and within budget while managing priorities and resources.
• Foster cross-location collaboration and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Your Credentials:

• Professional Engineer Credential Preferred
• Experience with metal fabrication including tooling and process equipment design
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and building code standards necessary
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience; experience managing remote team members a plus

Salary:

$120,000 - $135,000 annually, with bonus potential. Starting salary varies based on your experience.
