Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Design Engineering Manager in Trumann, AR to lead a high-performing engineering team and drive product innovation, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement. You will oversee initiatives that support new product development and optimize processes to deliver innovative solutions.

The role requires 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing and 5+ years in leadership, with a focus on tooling, fabrication, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer Credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing engineering team and drive product development and process improvements.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Product Management to resolve issues and enable growth.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget while managing priorities and resources.

• Driving new product development projects from concept through launch while meeting quality, cost, and timeline objectives.

• Travel to other Quanex locations will be required as needed.

Your Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Professional Engineer Credential Preferred
• Experience with metal fabrication including tooling and process equipment design
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and building code standards necessary
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience; experience managing remote team members a plus

Salary:

$120,000 - $135,000 annually, with bonus potential. Starting salary varies based on your experience.
