  • Driving departmental performance through clear expectations, accountability, and effective performance management.
  • Monitoring operational metrics and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and service delivery.
  • Implementing management routines, reporting frameworks, and operational oversight processes.
  • Coaching, developing, and mentoring managers and team members to build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training talent to support departmental goals.
  • Building leadership capability and succession plans to ensure long-term organizational stability.
  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) that support consistent execution and strong controls.
  • Ensuring processes remain current, compliant, and aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Identifying process gaps and implementing governance practices that drive operational consistency.
  • Leading workflow optimization and continuous improvement initiatives that reduce inefficiencies and improve team effectiveness.
  • Using operational data, employee feedback, and performance trends to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Partnering with Operations, Technology, Product, Compliance, Risk, and other stakeholders to support business objectives and operational initiatives.
  • Communicating departmental performance, risks, resource needs, and improvement opportunities to leadership.
  • Supporting implementation of new systems, processes, and business initiatives while maintaining operational continuity.
Desired Qualities

A hands-on leader who enjoys building structure, developing people, and driving results. Someone who naturally creates accountability while fostering collaboration and teamwork. A strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day operations with long-term process improvements. An effective communicator who can influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization. A problem solver who thrives in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments and enjoys tackling operational challenges. A leader who embraces continuous improvement and seeks opportunities to simplify processes and enhance the customer and dealer experience. A professional who can navigate change successfully while maintaining focus on business priorities and team engagement.

Specifics
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, preferably within Auto Finance.
  • Demonstrated experience leading operational teams, including employee development, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Experience managing multiple functional areas and delivering results in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven success developing and implementing SOPs, operational controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives and driving measurable operational outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to leverage reporting and performance metrics to identify trends and drive accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively lead through change and manage competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Nice-to-Have
  • Previous experience leading dealer services, dealer operations, onboarding, maintenance, collections, or related operational functions.
  • Experience partnering with Product, Technology, Compliance, and Risk teams on process and system enhancements.
