Job description

Manager, Data & Analytics Solutions

The Chicago Bulls Business Strategy and Analytics Department is a team of strategic critical problem solvers who champion a continuous improvement mindset across the organization. Our mission is to collaborate with key decision makers across the business and empower them with data and insights to better serve our fans.

The Manager, Data & Analytics Solutions will serve as the data and analytics partner to our Corporate Partnerships team, helping them effectively use data and analytics to improve the business. The role is equal parts data strategist, builder and project manager: you will design and implement dashboards and tools that improve business operations, and you will liaise with the Partnerships team to think through key business challenges that can be improved with data. Corporate Partnerships data lives in many disparate places today, and a core focus of this role is centralizing it into scalable systems that the team can rely on. This is a hands-on role for someone who is excited to both “do the work” and think a step ahead about how data and analytics can help the team be successful.

This role works closely with the Corporate Partnerships team (Business Development Strategy and Partner Strategy & Insights) and partners with our data engineering function on the underlying data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Platform & Tool Development

  • Design and deliver business performance dashboards that give the partnerships team a clear, consistent view of the business

  • Build, implement, and maintain data and analytics tools (software platforms, AI tools) that enables Corporate Partnerships to operate more efficiently

  • Build automations and tools that streamline cross-functional workflows, such as invoicing handoffs with Finance and inventory management

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort in recurring partnership operations

CRM & Data Strategy

  • Own CRM configuration and optimization as it relates to Corporate Partnerships, identifying improvements based on business requirements and user feedback

  • Support data strategy and technology vendor evaluations, helping the team think through data implications for key tools

  • Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships team to explore emerging opportunities such as data clean rooms and data monetization

Data Centralization & Analysis

  • Centralize and standardize Corporate Partnerships data, creating a reliable foundation for reporting and insight

  • Build and standardize queries and data sources to enable rapid, consistent analysis across the partnerships team

  • Partner with the data engineering function on the underlying data infrastructure and integrations that feed these platforms

Collaboration

  • Act as the connective tissue between Corporate Partnerships and the broader Business Strategy & Analytics team, ensuring the two work alongside one another effectively

  • Champion the adoption of data, dashboards, and tools to strengthen data-driven decision-making across the organization

  • Stay current on emerging technologies and AI-enabled automation, and bring forward ideas for how they can improve the way the team works

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a consistent track record of professional and personal achievement

  • 5+ years of professional experience in an analytical, data, or solutions-oriented role, preferably with exposure to building tools, platforms, and dashboards

  • Proficiency in SQL, preferably working with Cloud Data Warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift

  • Experience designing and managing dashboards and effective visualizations (Tableau preferred)

  • Experience building or implementing data and analytics tools, software platforms, or automations that streamline business processes

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects from planning through execution, with the ability to manage priorities, stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables across technical and business teams

  • Familiarity with CRM applications, preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and an understanding of how to apply them in a sales or partnerships context

  • Comfort working with modern data and AI tooling to accelerate analysis and automation

  • Experience supporting revenue operations, sales, or partnerships functions

Skills

The perfect candidate has a good mix of the following:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a high profile, small business, balancing multiple projects across different functions

  • Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to translate business needs into practical data solutions

  • Great interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and share findings with both technical and non-technical team members

  • Solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to both design and implement tools and partner with stakeholders to prioritize where it adds the most value

  • An eye for the details because data quality is paramount

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt quickly to real-time changes to the business
