SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands is hiring a Manager, Data & Analytics Product Owner to shape the strategy and roadmap for the North America data and analytics platform. This hybrid role in San Francisco, CA focuses on connecting business priorities to technology so teams can make better decisions with trusted data and analytics capabilities, including AI and automation.
What you’ll work on
In this role, you will own the evolution of the platform by aligning data and analytics priorities to corporate business objectives and functional needs. You’ll act as the business Product Owner across functions, translating requirements into delivered capabilities while driving adoption, governance, and platform reliability.
- Own the data and analytics strategy, roadmap, and priorities, aligned with corporate business objectives and functional needs.
- Lead requirements definition, prioritization, and backlog management as the business Product Owner, partnering with IT and functional teams to deliver new capabilities.
- Drive data quality, governance, and platform reliability in partnership with IT and functional report owners by diagnosing root causes of data integrity and ingestion issues and mapping opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and other functions to identify high-value analytics opportunities, define requirements, and develop or enhance Power BI dashboards and analytical capabilities.
- Increase user adoption and analytics capability building through onboarding, training, communications, and establishing a network of Power BI Super Users.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities to leverage AI, machine learning, and emerging analytics to improve decision‑making, automate workflows, and enhance user experience.
- Own business governance for platform access, security, and permissions, partnering with IT and functional leaders to ensure appropriate access and protection of sensitive data.
- Establish and monitor key product metrics to track adoption, usage, data quality, user satisfaction, and business impact, using insights to continuously improve the analytics portfolio.
You will also bring working knowledge of modern data architecture concepts including data models, data pipelines/integration, APIs, cloud data platforms, and semantic models to partner effectively with data engineering and IT teams.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in data & analytics, business intelligence, analytics product management, commercial analytics, or a related business‑facing function.
- Demonstrated experience owning data or analytics products from business requirements through delivery and adoption.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
Preferred experience
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, retail, commercial analytics, or customer‑facing analytics, with understanding of Sales, Marketing, and/or Supply Chain business processes.
- Experience translating business needs into data, reporting, or analytics solutions while partnering effectively with technical/IT teams.
- Familiarity with multiple business data sources such as retailer POS, syndicated data, ERP/SAP, demand planning, trade promotion, marketing/media, and customer inventory/forecast data.
- Strong understanding of Power BI (or comparable BI/visualization platforms) and the ability to translate analytical needs into effective reporting solutions.
- Experience with data governance, data quality management, and data integration.
- Product ownership and project leadership experience including prioritization, Agile ways of working, backlog management, and cross‑functional delivery.
- Outstanding analytical thinking, communication, and executive storytelling skills to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong influencing and change‑management capabilities, including driving adoption and capability building without direct authority.

- Remote work available once a week after 90‑day onboarding period

Compensation & benefits
Salary range: USD 160,570 - 210,748 per year.
