Graybar is seeking a senior Manager Customer Projects to direct and coordinate complex customer projects. You will lead a team of 16+ project specialists, ensuring projects align with strategy and meet annual sales targets, while controlling pricing and policies.

Become part of the excitement.The Manager Customer Projects is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of team’s assigned customer projects ensuring consistency with appropriate strategy, commitments, and goals. The Manager Customer Projects is responsible for managing 16+ project specialists and achieving annual sales targets of $150 million plus, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with established pricing and operational policies.In this role you will:Provide leadership in the planning, documentation, and ongoing execution of customer projects, as assigned.Ensure customer projects are billed out completely, accurately, and timely capturing revenue and margin leakage for successful project close-outs.Create and maintain a consistent approach to project order management and services. Act as a change agent for continuous improvement through enhanced methodologies.Assist in defining project order scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals, in collaboration with district management and customer requirements.Develop full-scale project order plans and schedule project order timelines.Estimate and coordinate the resources and participants needed to achieve project order goals; assume administrative role for onsite or virtual meetings, calls, and webinars between internal and external participants. Manage project spend.Provide direction and support to customer project order teams; coach and mentor team members on project order management and general project management techniques.Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and customers in a timely and clear fashion.Track project deliverables using appropriate tools; monitor and report on progress of projects to key stakeholders.Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans to ensure the achievement of project outputs.What you bring to the table:5+ years of experience: This is a senior-level Project Order management position for an individual with substantial experience in orders management5-7years’ experience: Project Order Management preferredKnowledge of project order management and strategiesKnowledge of the Company’s products and service offeringsKnowledge of SAPPlanning, organizational, and time management skillsTroubleshooting and problem-solving skillsLeadership skillsVerbal and written communication and presentation skillsConflict management skillsDecision making skills with the ability to take appropriate risksAnalytical skillsAbility to effectively interact and communicate with all levels within the district and external customersAbility to manage competing priorities, multitask, resolve conflicts and meet tight deadlinesAbility to work in a team-based environmentAbility to manage resources effectivelyAbility to make decisions in a rational, systematic, and logical mannerAbility to demonstrate a forward-looking, results-oriented perspective in motivating and inspiring othersAbility to effectively supervise staff and achieve results through othersAbility to effectively train and instruct in both group settings and one-on-oneHigh school diploma or GEDFour-year degree preferredCompensation Details: The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $75,000 annually, depending on experience.
