Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is seeking a Lead CT Technologist to oversee CT department operations, ensure patient safety, and coordinate daily workflow in a busy acute care setting in Tallahassee, FL.

Required: ARRT RT(R)(CT), Florida General Radiographer license, AS degree; minimum 3 years as lead CT technologist, with 5 years and management experience preferred. Reports to the Director of Medical Imaging.

Qualifications

• Must be ARRT registered in RT(R)(CT) and hold Florida General Radiography license.
• AS degree from an accredited radiography program.
• Minimum three years as Lead CT technologist; five years preferred.
• Prior management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily CT department operations and workflow.
• Ensures patient care standards and safety in CT procedures.
• Critiques requisitions for special exams with guidance from Radiologists.
• Coordinates with Radiology and other hospital areas; maintains familiarity with hospital information systems.
• Develops performance management work plans and drives process improvements.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school for Radiography; AS Degree; ARRT registered in Radiography and CT: RT(R)(CT); State of Florida General Radiography’s License.

Required Experience:

Minimum: Three years experience as a Lead CT technologist; Preferred: Five (5) years experience as a CT technologist. Previous management experience

Required Certification/License/Registry:

ARRT Registered in RT (R)(CT) and State of Florida General Radiographer’s License.

Responsibilities

Manages and assists with the activities of the CT Departments of TMH and NE-ED ensuring orderly workflow and acceptable standards of patient care and safety. Responsible for the day-to-day operations and scheduling of patients. Performs routine CT procedures and examinations. Critiques requisitions for special request exams with guidance from the Radiologists. Assists with the activities of the Radiology Department, as well as other areas of the hospital. Knowledgeable of required information systems within the hospital. Responsible for developing performance management work plans. Identifies and implements process improvement in specific area of responsibility.
