Job summary

Netflix, Inc. is seeking a Manager/Counsel to join the Business and Legal Affairs team for Nonfiction Series. You will oversee business and legal affairs for in-house and third-party productions, handling a broad range of agreements and clearance issues while collaborating with Content, Production, Finance and Marketing.

The ideal candidate has at least seven years of experience in development, production and licensing of nonfiction content, with a J.D. and bar admission.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of business and legal affairs experience in development, production and licensing of nonfiction content.
• Experience negotiating and drafting production services agreements, above-the-line and below-the-line agreements, format licenses, option agreements and production forms.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee business and legal affairs for Netflix nonfiction productions, in-house and external.
• Draft and negotiate various agreements and handle production-legal and clearance issues.
• Provide business and legal affairs counsel to the Nonfiction team and cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with Content, Production, Finance and Marketing to support projects.
