Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives.
  • Conduct defense and commercial aerospace market, customer, and competitor analyses to assess industry trends, threats, or opportunities.
  • Assess customer needs, defense budget priorities, acquisition trends, and geopolitical developments to inform strategies.
  • Support annual strategic planning processes, portfolio reviews, and long-range business unit planning.
  • Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, and other financial transactions via modeling and due diligence support.
  • Construct analytical models for strategy analyses and assist in senior-level briefings.

What You Will Do
  • Support the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives
  • Conduct defense and commercial aerospace market, customer, and competitor analyses to assess industry trends, threats, or emerging opportunities
  • Assess customer needs, defense budget priorities, acquisition trends, and geopolitical developments to inform strategies
  • Support annual strategic planning processes, portfolio reviews, and long‑range business unit planning
  • Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by supporting financial modeling, presentation development and due diligence execution
  • Construct analytical models in support of various strategy analyses
  • Assist in the preparation of senior‑level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level
  • Balance multiple projects while collaborating in a cross‑functional work environment
Qualifications
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
  • We Prefer Aerospace & defense, industrial, or technology sector experience
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned projects/teams, handle ambiguity and independently drive for results
  • Strong problem‑solving skills (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.)
  • Ability to think pragmatically – not just theoretically – and drive execution of concepts
  • Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Outstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilities
  • Familiarity with financial data services (e.g., S& P Capital IQ, Factset, Bloomberg)
  • Proven ability to listen, negotiate, influence and persuade others

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
