Job summary

Centric Brands is seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager to join our corporate accounting team. You will lead month-end close, reconcile balance sheets, and oversee daily ledger operations, while driving process improvements across the finance function.

The role requires a strong GAAP background, CPA preferred, and proficiency in Excel and SAP, with Lease Query experience a plus. You will partner with FP&A, IT, Legal, and other functions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred.
• Proven experience as Accounting Manager or similar.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP; Lease Query experience a plus.
• Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting and oversight of close processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close and ensure timeliness and accuracy of journal entries.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and support financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger daily operations and intercompany activity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, IT, Legal, AP, HR and Tax on processes.

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

Position Description:

Centric Brands is looking for a dynamic, creative and resourceful Manager of Corporate Accounting to join its team. This individual must be a self-starter and team player who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited about joining a team on a journey to accelerate transformation across Centric Brands

The Corporate Accounting Manager will be detail oriented and assist in preparing month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations and overseeing the general ledger accounting daily operations.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assist with month end close preparation to ensure timeliness and accuracy of journal entries and deliverables.
• Prepare and review monthly journal entries including expense accruals, prepaids, deposits, capital expenditures, intercompany transactions, FX/CTA, debt interest, corporate and divisional cost allocations.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations including proper supporting documentation, variance and flux analysis, and timely checklist completion.
• Identify accountings areas for process improvements, streamlining and automation.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, schedules and footnotes in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist and coordinate with internal and external audit requests, tax consultants, and other service providers with PBC request.
• Partner with FP&A in preparation of the monthly and quarterly forecasting for Depreciation & Amortization and ROU Assets & Liabilities
• Work cross functionally with various business partners (FPA, IT, Legal, AP, HR, Payroll, Tax, Treasury and IT) on processes, policies, key system improvements and initiatives.
• Help manage and maintain lease portal (Lease Query) in compliance with lease accounting standards (ASC 842), facilities and related allocations, analysis, and rent loader/statement review and approval.
• Provide supervision and guidance to assigned staff with day-to-day operations, complex and technical accounting tasks and issues, as well as personal and professional growth.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

• Proven experience as Accounting Manager or other similar position
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred
• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Experience with SAP, and Lease Query a plus
• Familiarity with lease accounting under ASC 842
• Must show accountability, be a team player and operate with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work with a high volume of transactions and strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
• Forward-looking thinker who can articulate the need for and implement process improvements
• Able to work independently and take initiative

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000
