Job summary

Raytheon seeks a Manager, Contracts (Individual Contributor) to lead contract management across the acquisition lifecycle, including RFP/BAA responses and negotiations for both classified and unclassified work.

You will collaborate with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal, interface with customers, and ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS while supporting the PMO and government contracts.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Experience working in Contracts, Subcontracts, Procurement, Estimating/Pricing, or Finance.
  • Experience with US Government Contracts under the FAR/DFARS.
  • Experience as a contracts lead or leading contracts negotiations.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start with the ability to obtain program access after start.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal.
  • Own contract management/administration actions on proposal and contracts across the acquisition life cycle.
  • Develop and respond to RFP/BAA, contract negotiation, contract administration, NDAs, and other business agreements for contracts such as CPFF, FFP, FFP-LOE, and OTA.
  • Interface with customers for correspondence, contractual changes and contractual issues.
  • Influence others through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
  • Investigate and resolve contractual matters by gathering information and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations and policy to mitigate risks.
  • Work with DCMA/DCAA on government contracts.
  • Be a team player supporting assigned Program Teams in Raytheon mission.

Raytheon is seeking a Manager, Contracts (Individual Contributor) in the Advanced Technology Sub Business Unit (SBU) to join our Airborne Spectrum Dominance Contracts team. The Advanced Technology SBU of Raytheon acts as the front end of the business developing the next generation of technologies that will defend our troops and make the world a safer place. Our technologies span from Electro-Optic (EO) to Radio Frequency (RF) spectrums. The charter of the AT/ASD business is to identify and develop new and leading-edge capabilities, leveraging Raytheon’s key technologies, creating trusted, innovating solutions to address local and world-wide problems. As a Manager, Contracts, you’ll have the opportunity to support dynamic contracts with numerous internal and external customers as a critical partner with the Program and Proposal Management Offices (PMO). The contracts range from small trade studies to Development programs. This position will also be supporting both classified and unclassified contracts.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate effectively with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal.
  • Be a critical member of the PMO, with responsibility for owning contract management/administration actions on proposal and contracts across the acquisition life cycle.
  • Develop and respond to Request for Proposals (RFP) / Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), contract negotiation, contract administration, non-disclosure agreements, and other business agreements for contract such as; Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Firm Fixed Price - Level of Effort (FFP-LOE), and Other Transaction Agreements (OTA).
  • Interface with customers for correspondence, contractual changes and contractual issues.
  • Influence others through the explanation of facts, policies and practices.
  • Investigate and resolve contractual matters by critically thinking, gathering detailed information, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide advice/guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes.
  • Work with local DCMA/DCAA on government contracts.
  • Success in this position is defined as being a team player working with your assigned Program Teams in support of the Raytheon mission.
  • Enablers for success include being able to effectively multitask; learn; and demonstrate good communication skills to be able to interface with all levels of internal and external customers.
Qualifications
