Job summary

Lennox is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives focused on scrap reduction, process optimization, and accurate inventory control. You will sponsor A3 projects, optimize production systems, and drive safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvements across manufacturing.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of related experience, and a Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Drive scrap-reduction initiatives and track trends to reduce material loss.
  • Lead root cause investigations using 5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, PFMEA.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance to optimize setups, tooling, programming, and machine controls.
  • Develop and maintain process standards to reduce variation and improve first-pass yield.
  • Support cycle count variance analysis and implement controls to prevent discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering to align improvement priorities.

What Drives Success

The Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across manufacturing processes with a heavy focus on scrap reduction, cycle count variance reduction, process optimization, and root cause problem solving. This role leads cross‑functional initiatives, sponsors A3 improvement projects, and ensures that production systems, controls, and programming are optimized for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

Scrap Reduction & Process Optimization
  • Lead targeted scrap‑reduction initiatives with a strong emphasis on scrap factor accuracy, and waste elimination.
  • Analyze and track scrap trends, identify systemic issues, and implement corrective actions to reduce material loss.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance to optimize setups, tooling, programming, and machine controls.
  • Develop and maintain process standards that reduce variation and improve first‑pass yield.
Cycle Count Variance & Inventory Accuracy
  • Support the root cause analysis and corrective action process for cycle count variances related to machine scrap and scrap factors.
  • Implement controls, audits, and process improvements to prevent reoccurrence of inventory discrepancies. ( Machine focus and Software programs)
  • Drive accountability for material flow, BOM accuracy, routings, and scrap reporting.
Engineering & Machine Support
  • Evaluate and optimize machine programs, setups, and process parameters to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to ensure machine capability aligns with production volume, tolerance, and capabilities.
  • Support new product introductions by validating routing, cycle times, and material usage factors (Scrap Factors at site introduction) .
  • Lead root cause investigations using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, and PFMEA.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering to align improvement priorities.
  • Communicate findings, project status, and improvement results to leadership.
  • Build strong relationships across the plant to influence change and sustain improvements.

What We Are Looking For
  • Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Requires broad understanding of process best practices and barriers to implementation.
  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen and understanding of the value chain.
  • Requires very strong data and business information skills including Excel, Access, SQL database and related skills.

  • Must be able to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.
What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried exempt role. The starting salary range for this role and market is between $120,000 - $157,500 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company’s applicable plan. Employees in this role are not eligible for overtime.
