Overview

Manager, Consumer Experience Wayfinding at Ascension. This role focuses on creating, implementing, and managing intuitive wayfinding solutions to enhance user experiences in healthcare environments. Remote work with about 25% travel.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct site surveys to assess environments, gather essential information, and inform wayfinding strategies.
  • Design effective wayfinding systems tailored to facility needs, establishing a clear visual hierarchy and navigational clarity.
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, graphic designers, fabricators, operators, and clinical teams to integrate wayfinding into the environment.
  • Stay updated with industry trends in wayfinding, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, including accessibility and safety standards, and conduct regular reviews for local compliance.
  • Manage all aspects of wayfinding projects from conception to completion, including timelines and budgets, and oversee fabrication and installation.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate/Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of related experience; 3 years of leadership/management preferred.
  • Additional preferences: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field; strong portfolio in graphic design and environmental graphic design; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CAD software; understanding of spatial design, human factors, and healthcare industry; excellent communication and presentation skills; problem-solving and attention to detail; understanding of ADA/accessibility guidelines; ability to manage multiple projects in a team environment.
