Position Description

RSM is currently seeking a strong Consumer Compliance professional to join a fast-growing team focused on providing our clients with critical assistance in developing and maintaining compliance with financial institutions regulations.

As a Manager in RSM's Regulatory Compliance group, you will be a key participant in the following activities:

  1. Manage and deliver assessments and other services covering regulatory consumer compliance for banks and other financial institutions.
  2. Evaluate the current state of the compliance program, identify deficiencies, and provide advice to strengthen the consumer compliance program.
  3. Develop and implement compliance policies and controls.
  4. Conduct independent testing or audits of all aspects of the client's compliance program and suggest improvements for governance, monitoring, training, and testing.
  5. Respond to enforcement actions by developing and executing corrective action plans that ensure a sustainable compliance program aligned with regulatory expectations and industry standards.
  6. Develop strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in banking and financial services, providing high-quality, timely client service.
  7. Manage engagements, including planning, execution, review, reporting, and risk assessment.
  8. Communicate review processes, conclusions, and process improvements to clients.
  9. Stay updated on industry regulation changes and enhance your professional competency through continuing education and certifications.
Position Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 6+ years of experience in consumer compliance, legal, or control functions within a consulting firm or financial services industry.
  2. Experience with regulatory bodies (e.g., FDIC, CFPB, OCC) preferred.
  3. Extensive knowledge of compliance risks and regulations (e.g., REG B, C, Z, RESPA, HMDA, OFAC).
  4. Experience in designing and implementing compliance programs.
  5. Relevant certifications (e.g., CRCM, CIA, CCBCO) required.
  6. Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and client service skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
  7. Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
  8. High ethical standards.
  9. Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree (JD, MBA) preferred.
  10. Willingness to travel.
  11. Staff management experience.
  12. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Compensation Range: $97,700 - $196,400
