Compensation: New hires, re-hires, and internal transfers typically receive a starting salary between the posted minimum and the average pay for their classification, based on experience and qualifications. The top half of the salary range is for candidates exceeding role requirements, and the maximum is for those far exceeding qualifications.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Office of Governance (OG) supports school systems, ensures student safety, and upholds Texas education law with integrity and excellence. We work with local education agencies through Field Support and Compliance & Investigations to promote best practices and create safe, high-quality educational environments.
The Compliance Review Unit (CRU) within the Special Investigations Division investigates violations of the Texas Education Code, including misconduct by educators and district officials. The CRU Manager leads a team of investigators, manages staff, fosters partnerships, and improves operational efficiency. This role reports to the Director of Special Investigations and offers a hybrid work schedule.
