The Compliance Program Manager is responsible and accountable to assist in the implementation, evaluation and monitoring of the Corporate Compliance Program & Plan across the Organization. Provides support to affiliate leadership and clinical staff to meet regulatory requirements and manages risk situations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing/health care or related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience and education
  • Master’s Degree in healthcare field preferred Current Florida license as RN, current active single-state out-of-state nurse license, or current active multistate/compact nurse license HCCA Certification preferred or within one year of taking position
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience utilizing knowledge of compliance and risk
  • Minimum of one (1) year of management/supervisory experience
  • Strong business foundation with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated skills in fiscal management, utilization of analytical and statistical tools, data analysis, and outcomes management
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations
  • Knowledgeable in Joint Commission Hospice Standards and the National Patient Safety Goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)
  • Skilled in management of group dynamics and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply process improvement theory and process mapping
  • Computer knowledgeable and competent with statistical applications and graphics
  • Able to prioritize multiple job responsibilities, exercise critical thinking skills, and effectively handle stress
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and exercise a high degree of discretion and independent judgment

Job Responsibilities
  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for all current Federal, Joint Commission, state and local laws pertaining to hospice and home health, as well as other lines of business.
  • Provides consultation and acts as a resource to staff regarding regulations.
  • Manages compliance activities to meet requirements and implements approved organizational practices as appropriate.
  • Works with other department leaders and staff to integrate compliance, performance improvement, and pertinent Joint Commission activities for the Organization.
  • Manages the Clinical, Technical and Admission Auditors in their day-to-day responsibilities and prepares compliance monitoring/auditing reports for the Senior Director of Compliance.
  • Ensures compliance findings are addressed and works with internal directors/managers to coordinate the development/revision and implementation of Company policies and guidelines.
  • Manages the Corporate Compliance Hotline and reporting system for occurrence reports; reviews reports resulting from such information; and makes recommendations for improvement based on information.
  • Coordinates audits and investigations of potential violations of law or Company policy under the direction of Senior Director of Compliance.
  • Coordinates timely response to requests from MAC, SMRC, Medicaid, Third Party payors, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Provides information to the Senior Director of Compliance on the implementation and management of risk management/legal issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation Pay Range

Compensation Pay Range: $85,270.05 - $133,234.45 This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as on-going compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
