Manager, Community Hubs Construction & Facilities

Santa Monica, CA

FIGS is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Manager of Community Hub Construction & Facilities to oversee the successful execution of FIGS’ growing pipeline of new store openings. This role will manage all phases of store construction - from pre-construction planning through grand openings and ongoing facilities management - ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and in line with FIGS’ brand standards.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the end-to-end construction process for new FIGS Community Hubs and renovations or modifications to existing locations.
  • Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines from lease execution through store opening.
  • Support the Head of Real Estate and SVP of Community Hubs in evaluating the feasibility of potential sites.
  • Collaborate with FIGS’ Creative and Community Hub teams to ensure architectural plans and construction documents reflect brand and operational requirements.
  • Select, negotiate with, and manage third-party partners including architects, engineers, and general contractors.
  • Oversee the permitting process, ensuring all necessary approvals and regulatory compliance are secured.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Provide accurate, ongoing reporting on construction status, costs, and schedules to project stakeholders.
  • Uphold consistent quality standards across all projects to deliver best-in-class Community Hub environments.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction project management, retail development, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction practices, permitting processes, building codes, and scheduling.
  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, construction documents, and technical specifications.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC system design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in diverse geographies simultaneously; must be open to frequent travel.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for helping build and scale FIGS' physical retail footprint.

FIGS Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range

  • At FIGS, your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. This role's base salary range is between $110,000 and $140,000. Actual base salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
