Manager, Commercial Products Plan Design

Position Purpose: Support the product team’s focus on offering quality, competitive product solutions for growth and retention of our marketplace members. Lead the annual Product Development Life Cycle for the Commercial Marketplace products in all states, working as part of a cross-functional effort to deliver on business objectives. Manage a staff who are responsible for the completion of product / portfolio design, competitive intelligence, pricing and demographic analysis of our customers and products.

  • Oversee the development, enhancement, and execution of Ambetter marketplace product strategies via plan design development.
  • Provide leadership in product design, ensuring alignment with market trends and business goals.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and leverage insights to drive strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, actuarial, and compliance teams, to enhance product offerings.
  • Deliver predictable, sustainable and profitable growth for Ambetter commercial products.
  • Develop and deliver multi-year product roadmap(s), lead strategic planning, develops initiatives and manages commercial product portfolio performance for the segment(s), refreshes strategy and puts in place improvement measures as needed.
  • Manages complex projects in a cross-functional environment to deliver compliant, profitable, and competitive commercial product solutions to market.
  • Champion transformative, game changing activities to sustain and enhance competitive edge.
  • Document business strategies and tactics, facilitate and/or develop business cases.
  • Develop product performance metrics dashboard to measure impacts, performing applicable quantitative and qualitative analyses for assigned markets, and oversee the creation of business cases and justifications.
  • Define and manage the structure for intake and triage of product feasibility and product integrity questions in the commercial product development life cycle.
  • Focus on achieving quality and operational excellence in delivery to market.
  • Review product cycle to drive process improvement and improve quality, and seeks administrative efficiencies.
  • Achieve regulatory compliance within products, executes in the interest of the commercial goals and objectives, and advocates for members. Works closely with legal and compliance departments to successfully align with legislative mandates and execute product related regulatory filings.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 7+ years of working experience. Experience in Product Development and Product Management, including tenured experience with similar, or assigned product(s) preferred. Extensive experience in applicable or similar lines of business preferred. Knowledge of health care, general insurance, insurance operations, sales operations, business analysis, key performance indicators, and portfolio management highly preferred. Healthcare industry experience preferred.Pay Range: $105,600.00 - $195,400.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law , including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
