Job summary

Dauch Corporation seeks a Manager Commercial Analysis in Detroit, MI to partner with Global Procurement in budgeting, forecasting and cost management. You will lead a team of analysts delivering procurement performance reports, supplier risk insights, and pricing administration.

The role reports to Senior Manager, Commercial Analysis within the VP Driveline Finance organization and collaborates with Procurement, Operations, and Finance to drive cost performance and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Leads, coaches, and develops a team of analysts responsible for material cost forecasting, budgeting, procurement scorecard reporting, commodity pricing administration, and compliance activities.
• Establishes priorities, monitors team performance, and ensures the timely delivery of high-quality analyses and reporting.
• Fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.
• Oversees the administration and governance of sourcing decision-support tool commonly referred to as the Dauch TLC (Total Landed Cost) model.
• Supports existing control framework related to sourcing policies and price change management.
• Oversees monthly maintenance of 3rd party raw material index data for pricing updates.
• Oversees team efforts related to integration and executive reporting.
• Assists in development of an integrated PPV/VAVE reporting solution.
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen controls and improve process effectiveness.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Description Summary

The Manager Commercial Analysis is a key finance business partner to Dauch’s Global Procurement organization, supporting financial planning, material cost management, sourcing strategy, compliance, and executive decision-making. This person leads a team of analysts responsible for forecasting, budgeting, procurement performance reporting, supplier risk analysis, and commodity pricing administration.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Commercial Analysis within the VP Driveline Finance organization but has responsibility for all Dauch operating units. This individual collaborates closely with Procurement, Operations, and Finance leadership to drive cost performance, strengthen internal controls, and deliver actionable insights that support the company's strategic objectives.

Job Description

• Leads, coaches, and develops a team of analysts responsible for material cost forecasting, budgeting, procurement scorecard reporting, commodity pricing administration, and compliance activities.
• Establishes priorities, monitors team performance, and ensures the timely delivery of high-quality analyses and reporting.
• Fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.
• Oversees the administration and governance of sourcing decision-support tool commonly referred to as the Dauch TLC (Total Landed Cost) model.This tool can be described as a discounted cash flow model designed to compare sourcing options and their impact to Dauch.
• Supports existing control framework that was developed to assist procurement with compliance to policies and procedures as it relates to sourcing, signature authority and price change management.
• Oversees the administration of the ongoing monthly maintenance of 3rd party supplied raw material index data that is used to update supplier and customer pricing.
• Oversees team efforts related to integration.This includes reviewing, approving and tracking synergies as well as executive report outs developed from our internal reporting.
• Assists in the development of an integrated Dauch PPV/VAVE reporting solution that meets the needs of all stakeholders.
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen controls and improve process effectiveness.

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
• 3+ years of management experience.
• Good knowledge and/or experience with finance and accounting issues.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and detailed.
• Positive “can do” attitude.
• Ability to work effectively with non-finance associates.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products - Excel and PowerPoint.
