Who you are:
The Manager, College Study Abroad Communications, is responsible for executing CIEE’s B2B college study abroad communication strategy. The role will elevate and enhance the CIEE brand across College Study Abroad partners while supporting institutional outreach and overall partnership goals, through closely coordinated direct messaging, earned media, press coverage, newsletter, and web/digital updates.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies for CIEE College Study Abroad.
- Develop an annual communications calendar encompassing a variety of CIEE College Study Abroad sales, marketing, and thought leadership strategies and initiatives.
- Manage external communication for CIEE College Study Abroad.
- Oversee strategy and calendar for CIEE College Study Abroad B2B marketing and promotional assets, coordinating closely with Institutional Relations.
- With content managers, develop engaging content for websites, video, social media, and press releases.
- Coordinate with the content team to create and maintain B2B copy standards across CIEE College Study Abroad marketing.
- Handle College Study Abroad media inquiries and manage relationships with journalists and other media representatives, also coordinating with CIEE Corporate Communication team.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and public perception, track CIEE College Study Abroad online presence
- Ensure consistency in messaging and branding
- Regularly measure and report on the impact of communication strategies, and make improvements.
Accountability:
The person is accountable for all communication related to CIEE College Study Abroad activities and initiatives, and for supporting sales.Close coordination with CIEE Corporate Communication, Institutional Relations, Institutional Research, and Outcomes will be required.Respond promptly to all questions, issues, problems, and/or needs of any constituents relative to College Study Abroad communication.Represent CIEE with integrity, accuracy, and the spirit of its mission.What you’ll bring:
The ideal candidatewill possess:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in B2B communications.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Track record leading or managing a comprehensive, multi-channel communication strategy.
- Track record of successful PR management and/or earned media success.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), proofreading skills.
- Customer-centric, with the ability to understand customer needs and preferences.
- Ability to work under pressure and on a deadline, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Attention to detail and confidence that translates to leadership among peers and staff.
- Proven ability to work effectively under minimal supervision; management and supervisory experience a plus.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
