Job summary

San Dimas Community Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the operational and fiscal management of the clinical laboratory and pathology. The role requires ASCP certification, a bachelor's degree in a relevant science, and 5 years of hospital lab experience with 2 years in supervision.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, participate in bench testing as needed, and perform routine laboratory testing to support department needs.

Qualifications

• Current and Valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required.
• ASCP certification, or equivalent, required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489).
• Five years of hospital laboratory work experience required.
• 2 Years of Laboratory Supervisory Experience required.

• Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements mandated by appropriate State and Federal accrediting and licensing agencies.
• Special projects or other assignments may be given with expectations to be completed in a specified timeframe.
• Must be prepared to participate in bench testing as departments needs require.
• Perform routine laboratory testing to support the department as needed.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $96,096.00 to $130,104.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
