HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Manager Clinical Informatics to oversee training, support and refinement of Advanced Clinicals and the Meaningful Use initiative across the facility.

The role focuses on CPOE and clinical application optimization, with leadership of education plans, project coordination and ongoing physician support. A nursing background with clinical systems experience is essential.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in clinical applications support or equivalent; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing training, support and refinement of Advanced Clinicals and Meaningful Use initiatives.
• Support CPOE and other clinical applications across the facility.
• Develop and execute an education plan for CPOE and related clinical initiatives.
• Lead projects and coordinate with facility peers to implement system changes.
• Address complex issues escalated from the service desk and monitor usage trends.
• Continuing education and physician support regarding unsigned orders and reports.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the direction of the Director of Advanced Clinicals, the Advanced Clinicals Manager is responsible for ensuring ongoing training, support and refinement of the Advanced Clinicals and Meaningful Use initiative as well as additional support for clinical applications throughout the facility. This individual participates in the company-wide community for CPOE, changes and works with their facility peers to ensure advanced clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility.

What you will do in the role:

• Implementation and support of division-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to CPOE and other clinical applications and tools.
• Development, execution, and support of education plan, tools and resources focused on the CPOE clinical initiative, Meaningful Use and additional clinical applications as developed and implemented.
• Facilitation and project leadership of the CPOE and advanced clinical system functions implementation.
• Resolution of complex issues and requests escalated from the division Service Desk or other division or facility service resources.
• Evidence Based Order set review, approval, and build within the facility.
• Ongoing monitoring of various advanced clinicals usage trend reports. Identify gaps/areas of opportunity and develop action plan to address areas of concern.
• Continuing education and support of physicians regarding unsigned orders and reports.

What qualifications you will need:

• (RN) Registered Nurse license required
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Three to five years experience in clinical applications support or equivalent preferred, Hospital experience preferred
