Responsibilities

• Oversees provider capacity management, patient access performance, and operational analytics to improve scheduling efficiency, workflow effectiveness, and organizational outcomes.
• Analyzes operational and performance data to identify trends, recommend solutions, and implement sustainable process improvements.
• Provides strategic insights, forecasting, and actionable recommendations to operational and executive leadership to support informed decision‑making.
• Develops, maintains, and standardizes operational procedures, documentation, and training materials.
• Partners with clinical, operational, revenue cycle, patient access, and IS leaders to optimize provider scheduling, patient access, and operational performance.
• Serves as the subject matter expert for provider capacity management, access analytics, Epic Cadence optimization, and operational best practice.
• Leads or supports strategic initiatives involving provider scheduling optimization, automation, AI‑enabled technologies, and digital transformation to improve operational efficiency and patient access.
• Evaluates, implements, and optimizes AI‑enabled technologies and automation solutions that enhance provider scheduling, workflow efficiency, operational performance, and the patient and provider experience.
• Collaborates with IS and operational leaders to identify, evaluate, and adopt emerging technologies that support innovation and continuous improvements.
• Leads, coaches, mentors, and develops a team of analysts to achieve departmental goals.
• Establishes performance expectations, fosters accountability and collaboration, and supports employee engagement, professional development, and succession planning.

This job leads the Capacity Management & Access Analytics team responsible for improving provider scheduling capacity, patient access, workflow performance, and operational efficiency. This role partners with clinical, operational, and information system leaders to analyze performance data, identify improvement opportunities, standardize processes, and implement technology enabled solutions that improve patient access and organizational performance.

Education

Required - Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.

Work Experience

Required - 5+ years experience in healthcare operations, patient access, ambulatory operations, provider scheduling, information technology, or a related field, including 2+ years of supervisory or management experience.

Preferred - 1+ years of experience leading operational analytics, performance improvement, or quality initiatives. Experience with Epic Cadence, provider schedule, and/or patient access operations, with the ability to leverage data to support operational decision‑making, strategic planning, workflow optimization, and organizational performance improvement.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities (KSAs)

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to identify trends and recommend operational improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives involving clinical, operational, and IS stakeholders.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Epic SlicerDicer or similar).
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, provider scheduling, patient access workflows, and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of AI‑enabled technologies and automation tools that improve operational performance.
• Strong organizational, project management, and change management skills.
